Gonzaque Village (formerly Hacienda Village), is a public housing project located in Watts, Los Angeles, California. It is located on 1515 East 105th Street. It was built in 1942 in 17.6 acres of flat land and was the first public housing built in Watts. Its 71 one-story buildings have 182 units housing 437 residents. The majority of residence here are visible minorities with 46.7% identifying themselves as being Hispanic, 51.3% Black , 1.8% White and 0.2% Other. The rent residents pay does not exceed 30% of their income. The Gonzaque Village is home of an African American gang called the East Side Hacienda Village Bloods and has been so since the 1970's.
