Located in the Maple Leaf Park area, Falstaff Avenue is a residential street in Toronto, Canada that runs east and west from Jane to Keele Streets, just south of the 401 highway in North York. At the foot of Jane Street and Falstaff Avenue are three subsidized high rises that houses a large concentration of low-income/single parent families and has over 1000 apartments . These high rises have a high population of West Indians and immigrants from various African nations. Falstaff has a history of gun violence stemming from the gang activity within the area. The three high rises on Falstaff is considered Crips territory and the local drug trade is controlled by a gang calling itself the South Side Falstaff Crips.
