September 9, 1977 - November 26, 2003. James Tapp, aka Soulja Slim aka Magnolia Slim, was a rapper from New Orleans aka Chopper City, Louisiana, 3rd Ward Magnolia Projects. He was murdered by a ride by on a bike on the front lawn of the duplex he bought for his mom. He was shot 3 times in the face and 1 time in the chest. Slim was previously signed to No Limit records, and then made his own record label called Cut Throat Committy. His solo albums are: Give It 2 Em Raw, The Streets Made Me, Years Later, and Years Later...A Few Months After. Slim's godbrother is Magnolia Scrilla aka Soulja $crilla aka Yung Scrilla, signed to B.G.'s Chopper City Records.
