Gilder Drive is a residential street located in the Midland Avenue and Eglinton Ave. East area of the northeastern suburb of the former city of Scarborough, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. 31 Gilder Drive is a 18-story high-rise building and home to an array of new immigrant families, the most prevalent being of Caribbean, African-American, and South Asian descent. It once was known for it's rampant drug activity, but that has since died down, although the presence of the drug trade is fairly evident in that section of Toronto. The prevailing gang in the area is the Gilder Boys, a Tamil orientated street gang made up of mainly teens and young adults.
