DA names MUha Named after the mascot for the game show "Press Your Luck", the adorable Whammy. Steve Holland created a little devil that came on stage and made fun of the contestant for being greedy; orginally, a "whammy" was a curse or hex, so this made sense. On the show, a Whammy would "erase" all the money you won up to that point, like "Bankrupt" on "Wheel of Fortune." It came to mean anything that would wipe out your money.
