This gang originated out of the Martha Eaton Way highrises by TretheWey and Black Creek area in the west end of Toronto, Canada in the mid 90's and was once implicated in the robbery and subsiquent murder of a gunstore clerk in Woodbridge. They were also known to supply other gangs with firearms. This gang was dealt a serious blow after a police round up arrested 50 members, including 2 youths. Up until now, you've probably never heard of the Trethewey Gangster Killers. But that won't be the case anymore, following Wednesday's massive police gun raids throughout Toronto. Authorities have announced they've broken up the gang of violent felons, who they contend have been responsible for some of the worst crimes in the city during the last few months.

The investigation began after a gun store robbery in Woodbridge last September that left a 40-year-old man dead and a large cache of weapons on the streets. Investigators believe those guns were used in subsequent high profile killings across the city, including the shooting of Byron Simpson outside a nightclub last October and a recent attempted murder at the Sheridan Mall on Boxing Day.

The raid netted 50 young adults and five young offenders, along with at least as many weapons. Chief Julian Fantino is relieved to have them all off the streets, but is outraged by their attitudes. "To have anybody walking around this city, this country, and taking pride in having anyone belonging to a killer gang ... is a statement beyond any words that I could put together to express my outrage," he concludes. And he had a final message for those the sweep may have missed. "We?re going to get you," he warns. "And mark my words there?ll be no stone unturned to capture you."

The guns are being tested to see if they were involved in even more crimes.
