The West End Gang

The West End Gang were formed by older anglophone criminals back in the early 1900's in the west side of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Along with the Mafia and Hell's Angels, this gang makes up the syndicate known as the "Consortium", simular to New York City's commission, controling the ports (and therefore the drug trade) in the city. The West End Gang are considered to be one of Canada's most powerful and profitable criminal organizations. Montreal police estimate that they currently consists of approximately 125 to 150 members. The group does not operate with a Mafia-like hierarchy; it is loosely organized with captains heading different factions.
