The Family

Police say The Family was made up of members of a street gang known more than a decade ago as The Kids. They were once the leaders of an Edmonton-based gang of dial-a-dopers until police cracked down on their criminal activities and they were forced to disband. After cops dismantled that group, the three leaders of The Kids regrouped and reinvented themselves as a much more sophisticated and robust criminal enterprise, now calling themself The Family. The gang's criminal activities included drug fronts in the construction and agriculture industries. The Family worked with other organized groups, such as the Hells Angels.
