Biography

With her butter smooth delivery and lyrical intricacy, Tara Chase's style on the mic is clearly distinctive from other female acts. While living in Montreal, Tara grew up listening to her father's old rap albums while dreaming to be a DJ, initially. While she was developing her style and was putting in work opening up shows for major acts with her crew in Montreal, Chase was frustrated by her inability to find a job and moved to Toronto. "Autonomy", the Saukrates produced solo track which appeared on Beat Factory Rap Essentials Volume 2, was her 1st commercial success, followed up by "Northside" where the mellow jazzy sensibilities couches her meditative and charismatic aura.
