Suga Free is an American rapper from Pomona, California.

According to the All Music Guide, his debut album, Street Gospel, produced by DJ Quik in 1997, ultimately fell short of expectations, but he has recently made guest apprearances on Xzibit's Restless and Snoop Dogg's Tha Last Meal.

His lyrics deal with hardcore street life, turbulent male-female relations, and incarceration — he has served time in Los Angeles County Jail — among other topics.

According to DJ Quik, Suga Free stole from him a beat that was composed for Dr. Dre. Suga Free sold the beat for what DJ Quik estimates to be $2,500.00. Therefore, the two are no longer working together. See: http://www.westcoast2k.net/interviews/djquik2.htm
