Shaton or Shaitan is an Arabic word meaning "devil". At night the evil armies of Shaton don't play -- Fugees (Family business [1996]).

The Hebrew and Arabic languages come from the same roots as each other, and the Hebrew Bible (or "Old Testament") obviously is the source of much of the imagery in the Christian Bible (or "New Testament"). This is why these Arabic words for the Devil look so much like the more familiar name for the Devil: "Satan."
