Real name Kamal Fareed, Q-Tip is a Queens, New York City MC. Q-Tip changed his name from Jonathan Davis to Kamal Fareed when he converted to Islam around 1996. Q-Tip was a member of groundbreaking rap crew A Tribe Called Quest.
