Pete Rock

Peter Phillips, US DJ, producer.

Pete Rock began his career as an amazing producer and dj after learning some things from marley marl. Pete Rock's namesake is more known for his groundbreaking work with cl smooth in the early 90's on classic lp's the main ingredient and mecca and the soul brother. However Pete Rock is also largely responsible(along with dj premier) for the production on Nas's 1st and most polished record, illmatic. Since then Pete has continued top notch production most notably on his own mixtape soul surviror.
