Old Strathcona

Old Strathcona is the most popular entertainment and nightlife district in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. There are frequent stabbings and beatings that occur when the bars all close and let the drunk people into the street. The highly publicized murder of Dylan McGillis started another wave of bad publicity for the area, Whyte Avenue in particular. Whyte Avenue (82nd Avenue) is its primary street. It is near the University of Alberta, a local hub for hip hop. Foosh is a popular DJ/Hip hop clothing store on Whyte Ave.
