The city of North York covers the entire northern half of Toronto and nearly touches almost every other Borough or town that makes up the Greater Toronto Area. It's approximately boardered by Victoria Park Ave. to the east, Steeles Ave to the north, the Humber River to the west and both Eglinton and Lawrence Avenue to the south.
The largest buildings in North York are located in the middle of a city on Yonge Street. Its City Hall is truly the centre of the city, located beside City Hall is the Ford Centre for The Performing Arts.
North York is a great place to live in terms of accessibility to shopping malls. Both Fairview mall, which is located at Sheppard Avenue, and Highway 404 and Yorkdale Shopping Centre which is located at Highway 401 and Dufferin St., are huge malls that are surely going to satisfy everyone’s needs. Between the two there are hundreds of shops and a number of good restaurants.
