New York City

New York City is the birthplace of hip hop culture and music. It consists of five boroughs: Brooklyn, The Bronx, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island. New York City is the largest city in the USA with a population of 8,214,426 as of July 2006. New York City has an area of 830 km², coupled with its large population, this makes it the second most densely populated city in the United States. In 2007 there were 494 recorded murders in NY, that is more than 400 more than in Toronto.New york record murders in 1 year is around 2500.
