The East Side (E/S) Main Street Mafia Crips are a long standing African-American street gang founded in East Los Angeles, California roughly during the early 1970's. This gang is made up of 3 individual sets who all fall under the Mafia Crips card. Territory claimed by the 98 Main Street Mafia Crips faction stretches from Colden Avenue in the north, 104th street to south, San Pedro/Wall street to the east and the 110 Freeway to the west. The 84 Main Street Mafia Crips are located around 84th Street and Main Street, between San Pedro and Broadway Blvd. Members have been known to sport yellow or gold articles of clothing along with the traditional blue color associated with the Crips. The Main Street Crips are rivals to all Neighbor Hood Crips, all factions of the East Coast Crips, 102 Raymond Avenue Crips, all Hard Time Hustler Crips, all East Side Hustler Crips, the 87 Gangster Crips and 97 Gangster Crips, Eight Tray Gangster Crips and the Broadway Gangster Crips. They used to have a close and tight-knit alliance with the Hoover Criminals until a shooting of a young member of the 94 Hoover Criminals Gang at a house party on Main Street Mafia Crips turf ended that relationship on a sour note [1]. Now the Main Street Crips are considered rivals of all Hoover Criminals, specifically the 92 Hoover Criminals Gang and the 94 Hoover Criminals Gang. Blood rivals include the Family Swan Bloods, the LA Denver Lane Bloods, the Bounty Hunters Watts and all Compton Pirus. "Active" members of the Main Street Mafia Crips are friendly towards all gangs under the "Mafia Crips" banner such as the 99 Watts Mafia Crips, Fudge Town Mafia Crips and the Blue Gate Mafia Crips. Other allies include the Watts Franklin Square Crips, Avalon Gangster Crips as well as the Kitchen Crips. The territory of the 84 Main Street Crips used to be territory of the Mad Swan Bloods, but constant beef with the Hoover Criminals made The Swans retire that particular clique back in the late 1970's. In June 16, 2009, the Main Street Mafia Crips, along with the 73 Hustler Crips, the 73 Gangster Crips, the Mad Swan Bloods and Florencia 13, were included a gang injunction in an attempt to quell gang activity around Fremont High School, located on 76th Street and San Pedro Street [2].
