Lowertown

Lowertown is a district in central Ottawa, east of downtown.

It is bounded roughly by Rideau St. to the south, Sussex Dr. and the Ottawa River to the north, the Rideau Canal to the west, and the Rideau River to the east. Lowertown has significant levels of drug activity and prostitution along with many other problems that plague the outer core of downtown Ottawa.
