Jane Street is one of the most well known and notorious streets in Toronto and the GTA. Jane Street runs north from Bloor Street West up to Steeles Avenue past the Toronto-Vaughn border. The main bus route on Jane Street is the 35 and the 35E.

For most people, Jane Street or Jane Strip as it is commonly referred to is divided into two sections, Northern Jane Strip and South Side Jane Strip... from Dundas to Wilson (South) and wilson to Steeles (North). South Side Jane has no BLOOD crews only CRIPS and GATORS. Blood crews start north of Wilson up to Finch Also, Jane Street and Finch Avenue (Jane and Finch, J&F) is divided into Up Top (Shore Shot, Woodz, T-Block etc.)(North of finch West) and Down Bottom aka southside J&F (Connections, Lane, Y-Block, etc.) (South of Finch West)

The major intersections on Jane Strip include Jane and Dundas, Jane and Woolner (Black Creek)/ Alliance, Jane and Eglinton, Jane and Weston (Black Creek), Jane and Trethewey (Black Creek), Jane and Lawrence W (Black Creek), Jane and Church/ Black Creek (401), Jane and Falstaff (Brown Bricks), Jane and Wilson, Jane and Shepherd, Jane and Firgrove (Connections/ Yorkgate Village), Jane and Finch (The Palace) and Jane and Steeles (Up Top).

WESTON-BLACK CREEK

From Jane and Weston to the 401 is an area known as Weston, an old village with a dynamic cultural mix and a diverse ethnic community. This area is also reffered to as Black Creek because of the Creek that runs through it from Woolner up to Shoreham. It includes the intersections of Weston Road and Lawrence and homes like Bellevue, the Twin Towers, Eagle Manor and 33 King, the largest building in the area. Weston Road as well, has a vast collection of housing projects that run from Lawrence all the way up to Crossroads Plaza. Anyone who has taken a stroll down Weston Road knows that it's a vibrant community with plenty of nail shops, cash converters and convenience stores. People also know they are in Weston when they see the bikes lit up hanging over the streets, a symbol that represents that Weston was the first place CCM Bikes were manufactured.

This area is also reknown for some of it's gangs, something you might know if you attended Weston CI. or York Memo (at Trethewey and Eglinton). Here they are in no particular order, TGK (Trethewey Gangster Killers, a Crip set), Gators/ Junior Gators (traditionally a Black Creek gang centered in the Martha Eaton Way Projects who wear green bandanas and army camoflogue also centered in Weston), Familia Loca (a Hispanic gang on Jane Street wearing Grey and Blue, similar to Southern California's Sureno 13), Weston Crips and a bunch of other Crip and Blood sets. However, most would agree that the Gators and TGK are the most well-known gangs in Weston.
