Located in the West end bounded by the 417 to the east, Pinecrest Rd. to the south and Baseline Rd. to the west. Iris's overall crime rate is significantly down since the 90's but still lives up to its reputation as a rough neighbourhood. Crack cocaine is widely available in this community and the Bloods from this area are affiliated with the Double R Bloods, Iris is known as a breeding ground for the Bloods in Ottawa during the mid 90's and still is to this day
