New term Heron Gate is one of the largest public housing communities in Ottawa, and is located in the south end, about 5 min from Ledbury-Banff. It can be understood as the Bayshore of the south end, and is well-known for violent crime, drugs, and gangs (Baycrest,Sandalwood, and Cedwarwood Crip-sets).
