The Harvard Park Brims is a Bloods gang located in the west side of South Central, Los Angeles, California who have the dubious distinction of being the only Blood territory that is surrounded by Crips on all 4 sides of their turf (Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips, the 67 and 55 Neighbor Hood Crips and the 59 Hoover Criminals to the east). They have been constantly active since 1969, the first active year of the traditional black gangs of Los Angeles. They were known as the LA Brims then. They were originally 59 Brims, then Block Brims started by Terry Goudeau, then the 62 Brims came out. There is also 61 Brims. The main click of this gang are the 62 Harvard Park Brims (found on 62nd Street), but other subsets include the 61, 60 and 64 Harvard Park Brims. The 59 HPB was retired since they were constantly locked in battle with the 65 Menlo Crips, 55 Neighbor Hood Crips and 59 Hoover Criminals Gang. Their main rivals include all Menlo Crips, the 18th Street gang, the 6 Pacc East Coast Crips, School Yard Crips, all Hoover Criminals, the Trouble Gangster Crips and all Neighbor Hood Crips. They are considered allies of the Denver Lane Bloods, Van Ness Gangster Brims and the Fruit Town Brims. A member of this gang was convicted for killing LAPD officer Daniel Pratt of the 77th Division.
Some notes:
1: They are tightly aligned with the other Brim sets: the Fruit Town Brims and the Van Ness Gangster Brims
2: The HPB have 4 sub sets: 59th, 61st, 62nd and 63rd
3: Their territory has been pushed West to Hoover Avenue.
