The West Side (W/S) Harvard Park Brims is an African American street gang located in the west side of South Los Angeles, California. This gang has the dubious distinction of being the only Blood territory that is surrounded by Crips on all 4 sides of their turf: Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips, the 67 Neighbor Hood Crips, 55 Neighbor Hood Crips and the 59 Hoover Criminals Gang to the east. They have been constantly active since 1969, the first active year of the traditional black gangs of Los Angeles, and predates both the Bloods and Crips. They were known as the the LA Brims in its earliest conception, originally consisting of the "59 Brims", then "Block Brims" started by Terry Goudeau, then the 62 Brims came out. There is also 61 Brims. The main clique of this gang are the 62 Brims (or Six-Deuce Brims) found on 62nd Street. The 59 Harvard Park Brims was retired since they were constantly locked in battle with the 65 Menlo Crips and 55 Neighbor Hood Crips. However, the Harvard Park Brims have an unofficial truce with their former rivals the 59 Hoover Criminals Gang due to their shared hatred of the Rollin 50s Neighborhood Crips. Other rivals include the Rollin 30s Harlem Crips, Rollin 40s Neighborhood Crips, Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips, Rollin 90s Neighborhood Crips, all Menlo Crips, the 6 Pacc East Coast Crips, School Yard Crips, all Hoover Criminals, all Trouble Gangster Crips, all Neighbor Hood Crips and the Hispanic 18th Street Gang. They are cliqued up with the Van Ness Gangster Brims and the Fruit Town Brims and are considered allies of the LA Denver Lane Bloods. A member of this gang was convicted for killing LAPD officer Daniel Pratt of the 77th Division.
