Gatineau is a city located on the Ottawa River, in the province of Quebec, in Canada. The city lies adjacent to Ottawa, Ontario, which is the capital of Canada. Together, the 2 cities comprise the National Capital Region. The population of Gatineau is listed as 242,124, the population of the CMA is 282,627, while the population of the National Capital region is 1,451,415.
