Four of Toronto's homicides for 2005 happened on the G.S.W. (Gerrard Square Walkway, aka Gerrard "SCARE" Walkway) at Pape and Gerrard in East York. It is a curved stairway connecting Gerrard Square, aka Gerrard Scare, to the foot of Pape Ave.

Also used an abbreviation for Gun Shot Wound, "My nigga popped dat crip crew, left wit a G.S.W." Triscuit Smitha "G.S.W."
