Draper

Located in the heart of the west, off of Baseline Road and Greenbank Road, across the 417 exit from Ramsey in Ottawa, Ontario, Draper is a lower middle-class/working-class neighbourhood with a very multicultural population consisting of families of Middle-Eastern, Somalian, European and Jamaican descent. Draper along with nearby Monterey had significantly high crime rates well throughout the 90s and early 2000's due to the prolification of hard narcotics perpetrated by local drug gangs in the area. Although the overall crime rate in Draper has seen a dramatic decrease in recent years, a heavy police present can still be seen along with the reminance of gang activity. Drug Dealers from Draper are known to deal with members of Double R Bloods also known as West Side Bloods.
