Drug-infested neighbourhood on the West end of Downtown Ottawa, Crack cocaine is a major problem with many street level dealers operating in the area. Homelessness is not as rampant as in nearby Rideau St. but is still an issue. Ottawa Police regularly deploy patrol units at all times of the day in and around Centertown and it has also been under heavy investigation from the Ottawa Police's new Street Crime Unit.
