Allenbury

Allenbury Gardens aka A.B.G. is a subsidized housing complex located in the Don Mills road and Sheppard Avenue East area, across the street from the Fairview Mall in North York. The first tenants of Allenbury were mainly of Irish and European decent, but soon that gave way to a large number of West Indian families in the early 80's. Famous musicians that came out of Allenbury include reggae artist Snow and up-and-coming rapper Alias Don Million. No stranger to violence and heavy police presence, Allenbury remains a tight knit community with strong family values. Allenbury or ABG, makes up one section of an area in the north/eastern section of North York referred to as 4 Corners.
