Acorn Place

Acorn Place is a Ontario Public Housing complex made up of 4 buildings & row houses located in the city of Mississauga. Ontario housing officials had just recently added a $408,000 48-unit project at 99 Acorn Place. The units are occupied by lower income single persons with a $300+ Monthly Rent. Teenagers who live in this area is in the boundaries of John Cabot Secondary School, Father Michal Goetz and St. Francis Xavier Secondary School.
In the area there are many other mixed-income buildings. Peel region was going to make the area into one housing project similar to Jane and Finch more then 25 years ago but doing further research on public housing like the ones in Malton (north-east Mississauga), and Toronto all concludes in the result of "Urban Decay" (dilapidated buildings) and the community ends up in the state of facing socio-economic decline. Other then Acorn, theres other affordable housing in the area like forum italia and Villa. Acorn is also a Three minute drive over the highway 403 to square one the largest shopping mall in Ontario.
