G-funk

Gangsta funk; gangsta raps backed up by melodic samples and background music. The term is based on George Clinton's P-funk, from which many samples are used. Typical G-funk artists are: Dr. Dre, Snoop Doggy Dogg, Warren G. & Nate Dogg. "Ain't nothin but the G-funk" -- Dr. Dre featuring Snoop Doggy Dogg, Dat Nigga Daz, Jewell (Let Me Ride [REMIX]) [1]
