62 East Coast Neighbor Hood Crips
The East Side (E/S) 62 East Coast Crips, also known as the "62 East Coast Neighbor Hood Crips", are a mainly (but not exclusively) African-American street gang founded on the east side of South Los Angeles, California during the early 1970s. Their neighborhood is concentrated around 62nd Street and Main Street with parts of their turf being west of Main Street to the Harbor 110 Freeway and east towards Avalon Blvd., between Slauson Avenue in the north and Gage Avenue in the south. The 62 East Coast Crips falls under the East Side Crips/Neighbor Hood Crips/Deuce(2x) card and are a subset of the larger East Coast Crips umbrella gang. They are also a part of the 6 Pacc, an alliance of other East Coast Crip sets in the immediate area. The 62 East Coast Crips are enemies of all Trey(3x) gangs such as the 52 Broadway Gangster Crips and the 53 Avalon Gangster Crips. They are also rivals of all Hoover Criminals. Hispanic rivals include the Florencia 13, Playboy Surenos 13 and the Street Villains 13, (basically all Sureños gangs). Being Crips , the 62 East Coast Crips are naturally hostile towards all Bloods. Some of their Blood rivals include the Family Swan Bloods, 52 Blood Stone Villians, 52 Pueblo Bishop Bloods, the Harvard Park Brims, Fruit Town Brims and the Van Ness Gangster Brims. They are allies of all East Coast Crips, all Rollin 0's and all Neighbor Hood Crips. Despite falling under the "deuce(2x)" card, the 62 East Coast Crips also have a long standing and friendly relationship with gangs falling under the rival Tray(3x) card such as the 42 Gangster Crips, 43 Gangster Crips and 48 Gangster Crips. The partnership between the East Coast Crips and their Gangster Crip allies is known as the "Movin' Coast to Coast" alliance. The 62 East Coast Crips are the oldest and is regarded as the most vocal gang within the 6 Pacc alliance; usually being the first to instigate or retaliate against rival gangs. They are the first Neighbor Hood Crips set in Los Angeles, before the 111 Neighbor Hood Crips and before the Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips.
