The West Side (W/S) 112 Hoover Criminals Gang, or "11-Deuce Hoover Criminals Gang (112HCG) are a long-standing African American street gang founded in the unincorporated community of West Athens in Los Angeles, California. Some times referred to as "The Lay Lows", the 112 Hoovers are a small sub-set of the larger Hoover Criminals umbrella gang and was formed in the 1970s around 112th Street and Hoover Street, between Vermont Avenue and Figueroa Avenue. Just like all the other Hoover Criminal sets, this gang used to claim Crip but due to their many deep rooted rivalries with other Crip gangs, they decided drop the "Crips" from their name and began to claim "Hoover Criminals" by the 1990s. Their territory used to stretch from 112th street to 114th street, but their feud with various gangs such as the Denver Lane Bloods, Rollin 100s Crips as well as the South Los 13 took a toll on the gang and has resulted in them being pushed out of a portion of their neighborhood (112th Street and Hoover Street). The 112 Hoovers are cliqued up with the 107 Hoover Criminals Gang, their closest Hoover allies. They are enemies of the Denver Lane Bloods, the 120 Raymond Avenue Crips, all Rollin 100s Crips, 104 Hard Time Hustler Crips, Harvard Gangster Crips, Pimp Town Gangster Crips, Gardena Paybacc Crips, the 112 Broadway Gangster Crips and all East Coast Crips. The 112 Hoovers are also rivals to the Hispanic South Los 13. Those remaining members of the 112HCG now represent a small gang under the Gangster Crip card called the 112 Gangster Crips.
